Very enjoyable movie! You have to know the background about Aliens and Predators to understand this movie, but if you are a big fan like me then you will really like this! The first Alien vs. Predator was sort of a let down, I was anticipating more action and combat; however, in this one the action never stops. Throw non-stop action together with a few twists and you have a pretty good movie. Also, if you have never seen it, then don't worry, my girlfriend was with me knowing nothing about aliens or predators, and she agreed it was a great movie. I don't recommend seeing it with someone who hasn't seen any previous movies because they, like my girlfriend, don't stop asking questions! 4/5
THIS WAS AN AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!!!!! It was about the iconic creatures from two of the scariest film franchises in movie history wage their most brutal battle ever--in our own backyard. The science fiction-action- thriller captures the magic of the "Alien vs. Predator" comics, novels and videogames that established the "AVP" brand--while paying homage to the hallmarks of the film series that preceded it: Ridley Scott's seminal work of science fiction and horror, "Alien"; James Cameron's masterpiece of intense action, "Aliens"; and John McTiernan's thriller about an extra-terrestri al warrior wreaking havoc in the jungle, "Predator." At the same time "AVP-R," introduces an intriguing element new to the franchise by having the Aliens and Predator wage war in a small American town.
I'm a big fan of the first Alien & Predator movies (separately), but this film was really a waste of money I believe. There is no plot, the chapters carry on through the a**umptions of the characters' actions. I've seen movies on the Sci-Fi Channel much better than this. Sorry fans, but this movie just doesn't do justice to what the presence of Alien or Predator should be...
