This movie is ABSOLUTELY superb! I give it a five star rating. Denzel Washington is a very good director and actor with a very fine supporting cast

Denzel Washington and the supporting cast are just excellent. Although predictable, I didn't care because the movie is just so well done with excellent casting and acting. This movie is what movies should be about. It's simply a great story without the need for special effects, non-stop vile language and violence (although there is a horrific scene that counters this, but needed to be shown). Highly recommend this movie.

This is educational first and then follows closely as really good entertainment. The TEACHER teaches his students priciples that guide them not only in school but life. The question is asked several times...Who is your JUDGE? And answered. We the viewer are taught about the skill of debate and given a history lesson in the process. Denzel directs and acts in a movie that is worthy of 5 stars.
